Features
- Hourly Billing - only need a virtual machine for a few days, or don't know how long you'll want to use it for? Or have dynamic needs that require changing numbers of instances? Luna Node Dynamic allows you to destroy your virtual machine at any time, and then only pay for the hours (instead of months) that it was used for. The service is prepaid, and payments can be made via credit card, Paypal, Bitcoin, or Interac e-Transfer.
- Custom Images - you can submit a URL (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, etc.) and the system will download your ISO image or qcow2 template. Once downloaded, you can provision new virtual machines with the custom operating system. For ISO images, OS installation can be completed via VNC.
- Live Snapshotting - hit a button to snapshot your virtual machine, and the current state of the disk image will be saved. You can then use it to restore your virtual machine to a previous saved state or to provision more machines. Snapshots are charged at $0.03 / GB / month (billed hourly); the first 20 GB of snapshot storage is free.
- Volumes - create arbitrary-sized block devices (volumes) and attach/detach them to virtual machine instances on the fly. Volumes are stored on a fault-tolerant Ceph RBD cluster.
- High-availability - if a compute node goes down due to hardware failure, virtual machines on that node that have the root partition stored on a volume will be automatically "evacuated" to another node. Similarly, if upgrades need to be performed on a node, then such VMs will be live migrated with no downtime or reboot.
- API - we provide a powerful API that you can use to automatically manage your servers.
- Floating IP Addresses - external IP addresses can be transferred between VMs on the fly. For example, if you need to upgrade your application, you can test the upgrade and get everything working on a new VM; once the new VM is ready, you can commit the upgrade by swapping the floating IP from the old VM to the new VM. This transfer action can also be done over the API to support failover between instances, and other operations.
- Tenant Networks - create tenant networks that provide isolated networking between your instances. You can use tenant networks to achieve more complex network setups.
- Cloud Load Balancers - balance TCP, HTTP, or HTTPS requests between multiple virtual machines using our high availability load balancer service. You can define health monitors to disable failed virtual machines on the load balancer.
- Server Monitoring - use our fault tolerant, distributed server uptime monitoring service so that you get notifications over e-mail, SMS, or phone call if your services go down. HTTP, TCP, and ICMP checks can be added; you can also add checks to ensure your SSL certificates are up-to-date.

All displayed prices are in USD.
Bandwidth is allocated monthly via a per-calendar-month per-region bandwidth pool system. Extra bandwidth on some of your virtual machines in the same region can be used on your other virtual machines. If a VM is active for the full calendar month, it adds the plan bandwidth to your per-region bandwidth pool; VMs active for less than the full month add an amount of bandwidth proportional to the time that the VM was active during the current month. Additional bandwidth used exceeding the allocated pool is billed at $0.003/GB.
Each plan includes a single IP address. Up to three additional IP addresses can be added at $1/mo per IP (billed hourly).
